I think I will give this blog thing a try :]

Salamu Aliekum Everyone!!
So after signing up for this website(all of 3 days ago), listening to vlogs and reading, I have finally decided to start my own! I really wanted to jump right into making video blogs but decided that maybe it would be best if I started out with just normal blogs. 
So here it is people of Muxlim.com! Here is the first of many blogs and isA the start of a vlog soon!
I have absolutely no idea what to write about so I figured I would introduce myself. Its not like anyone will read this anyway..
Well then.. here it goes..
My name is Nadia.I live in the USA, Chicago to be precise. I am half Egyptian from my dad. He was born and raised there. He came to the states when he was about 27 I think. So he's been here for.. let's do the math.. almost 30 years! Wow he's getting old, its funny every time someone asks him is age he tells them 25 so thats why I can never keep track.
I am also half German from my mom. Although she is part everything imaginable.. mostly german so I'll stick with that. She, on the other hand, was born and raised here in the states. Met my dad in '84 two years later they were married and four more after that I was born! Then two years later I had a sister, five years later another and five more years another again!!! Yes that is right ladies and gentlemen..I am the oldest of 4! Isn't it lovely! Hahaha.
I am Muslim. Although my family is not practicing, a few years back I got really into it and started studying Islam and then I started to wear the hijab. Basically everything I know about Islam was self-taught. I didn't have anyone above me to look to for advise. So still till this day I am constantly learning something new. 
If anyone is reading I would like to know your thoughts. Maybe a suggestion about what I should write about or a question about myself that I can answer. 
I am thinking to write about my lovely husband next time. :]
