Unfortunately, I was never exposed to the arabic language growing up. With that being said, my arabic is extremely limited. So, I went to barnes and noble on saturday and bought arabic for dummies lol. I always kind of laughed at those ( )for dummies books, but it looked like my best option to get started with. I'm really excited about it and making time daily for studying it. 4:175 "As for those who believe in Allah, and hold fast unto Him, them He will cause to enter into His mercy and grace and will guide them unto Him by a straight road." I really like this and it really makes me happy too. Until I reverted, it was like dead end after dead end and I was going in circles lol. Now it's like everyday that goes by, things become clearer and I have a better understanding of that straight road. Like the old saying goes, the quickest way from one point to another is a straight line. Well, inshallah, I will never veer off this road. salams

Salaam. :) I'm happy for you. Here's an improptu Arabic lesson for you.
Arabic word for fish is al-samackah. Use a mneumonic to remember it. For example: Would you like to smack a samackah (fish). Silly as it sounds, it works. :)
:wasalam:

salam Brah,
yeah i'm trying to learn arabic. lucky for me though i have some online friends who are patient and willing to deal with me and teach me little by little. I use the program skype. you may have heard of it but half the people on their are muslims(ahumdillah) from arab/muslim countries. and usually they want to learn english, and than you tell them you want to learn arabic. in the end everything works out nice. well good luck on your journey on learning arabic. and wish you nothing but the best and may Allah(swt) keep us all on the straight path. AMEEN.
