You are making salaat. The person on your right rises from ruku' raises his hands about chest level and goes to sujud. The person on your left rises from ruku', drops his hands to his side and goes to sujud. Has someone made salat wrong.

What you say is indeed correct, but what of the person who drop his hands to his side, is he wrong, praying wrong?

You should also raise your hands when standing up for the third rakah.

The Prophet shallallahu alaihi wasallam used to raise his hands when straightening up, just like he did in the opening takbeer. Hadeeth about this was narrated by Bukhaari & Muslim. In the footnote of his book, Sifat Salah Nabi, Syaikh Al-Albani writes: "The raising of the hands here is narrated in a mutawaatir way from the Messenger (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam), and the majority of scholars have supported it, including some Hanafis."Just go here to read the book.
