Salaam alaikum, He's not the first I have heard of or the last... but I am confused by your term in the title. "Muslim convert" Baptized. it made it sound like this was a Convert to Islam who then allowed himself to be baptized as a Catholic. Yet when I read the posts here, I got the impression this was a so-called "born" Muslim who had been raised in a family that professed Islam at least with their lips, who chose to become Catholic.Mind you many around the world become catholic so that they can have access to the resources offered by the C. Church. Nothing new there. Many so-called Muslims have done it for a long long time. Can't really say what his motivation is or was. I do not even know if he was a BELIEVER in the first place. Just cause his parents were muslim doesn't mean he ever was.... so one can't even say he left Islam. So the claim of stoning him is not necessarily correct. I know many so-called Muslims who come to my region who don't know anything about Islam, but know quite abit about their culture back home & try to shove that down my throat, claiming I have to "BELIEVE" cause "they know" cause they are "real Muslims". So many Muslims don't know this religion & they are the most beloved of those who wish to bad mouth the religion, cause they will get these individuals to parade around on their behalf talking "Islam this, Islam that". Just consider that Somali woman from the Netherlands who blames Islam for her life experiences. She didn't know anything about the religion & it sounds like neither did the male relatives she dealt with. But that is now the "example" of Islam. Not an example of domestic violence in Somalia. Yet if an American woman got up & made the same claims against American culture or the redominant religion of this country... they'd think she is off her rocker & would never give her speaking engagements. Salaam, he wasnt really part of the ummah from the beginning even if he was born muslim in Egypt.He converted to catholicism to look good front of the west to get what he want so no one can call him a terriost or whatever and also he  called islam a volient religion so you do the math of what he trying to do to us. The Pope plays a major role in this one as well,history has shown us the truth.
