yes I think everyone can think of a few 'muslim' countries that fit this criteria
agreed with you Tahir, i cant think any of muslim country that adopt good system from the west. The closest one is Malaysia maybe. This is sadden. Muslim country used to be really great, but look what happen now. I always think islam will rise again from the west. Allahu 'alam
The former grand Mufti of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Muhammed Abduh, of Egypt, once said famously, upon his return to his home country from the West - "In the West, I found Islam, but no Muslims, here there is Muslims, but no Islam". In other words, he found in the West, that there was many basic Islamic principles, that were present in the system, and neglected in the Muslim world, such as freedom of speech, freedom of worship, open society, unity, lack of corruption and tyranny, human rights and support for all, social security and so on. Of course there are a number of things found in the West that go against Islamic practice, but there is no doubt there are also many things Muslims living there can benefit and take advantage of. Muslim countries must adopt the good things of the West, which have a basis and can be found in Islamic teachings.
