All i know, Majnun is a word for "insane" in Arabs lang. But what i brought here to you is "majnun" in sufism context. (but me myself is out of sufism). In sufism, majnun means somebody who reach some level of iman. he dunno everything, but Allah. he only see Allah in everything, in ppl, in rocks, in sea, etc. so, the way he talks and act is hard to most ppl to understand. then ppl call him "majnun", (specific) insane.
