A'salaamu'aleikom Gentle Reader.
Not much going on as of late. School/College is finished for the year. This news is both good and bad. On the good side, I have the chance to conduct further study of the Qur'an and get a few things done around the house. On the downside it also means the Kids are also home which means that despite my good inTentions, not much will get done after all.
Have encountered a small problem with a neighbour. It would apear that, on discovering that I am Muslim, she has been exercising her Christian right to denigrate and spread rumours about us. Oh well, I suppose it takes all kinds, besides I am quite used to such persecution, I just ignore it. Eventually it will go away. One less house full of Drunks to put up with.
We have had a little rain over the last two weeks. This has meant that my yard tends to get a little overgrown. Mohammad, the lawn mower man, came around and trimmed everything. He is Muslim and is concerned that my involvement in Islam may be slackening off, and I must confess that, due to the stress of my divorce, I have been a little lazy. So we spent some time in discusion.
It is interesting that when I first met him he admitted to not going to the Mosque very often. Now he attends three or four times a week. He has invited me to visit his Masjid for Jumah. I have accepted his invitation.
Masha'Allah.... Alhamdulillah brother =) and yeah, ignoring your neighbor for what she is doing is the best solution, show her that you don't care, but hey, aren't you a Psychologist? Play some psychology on her!! I'd love to see what happens haha..
