Salaam, I have heard many Muslims speaking about their desire to find a better place to raise their family, due to the high cost of living, dunya life surrounding them, etc. I wish to bring to your attention that those in the US can actually succeed in relocating to a place that allows you to: 1) Have a liveable wage 2) Be able to support a family on ONE income 3) Be able to afford to buy a home 4) Be able to homeschool your children if you wish 5) Be able to attend a masjid already present in the area What luxuries do you give up? *High Crime Rates *Low modesty levels of urban population *High cost of living *High loss of 2nd generation Muslim children *Overcrowded living *Looking at skantedly dressed women & men, since the weather & the people don't promote that sort of dress. Alhumdulillah What you gain? The opportunity to raise you children in an Islamic environment away from the distractions of the dunya. (unless you turn around & bring it in by subscribing to cable). An opportunity to retire in a low stress area, if you are older, where the cost of living is manageable. Alhumdulillah An opportunity to get to know your neighbors, & the people around you. Alhumdulillah An opportunity to breath fresh air, garden, open a business & spend some time with fellow Muslims also willing to give up some of the "luxuries" of urban living. Alhumdulillah A chance to get ahead, for the sake of Allah. Alhumdulillah

Salaam alaikum, Ah, that would be South Dakota.... yeh, its cold... which means the women stay DRESSED! LOL
Nice thing is they accept immigrants here, people who look different, dress different & worship differently!
Alhumdulillah. I've been here for over a decade now. And some Muslims from the Twin Cities are starting to recognize it is a better place to raise their families & a better place to retire. Insha Allah.
You can buy a home from any where from $20,000 to $180,000. Depending on what urban level you insist on. We have three masjids in the eastern part of the state which serves the needs of the Muslims in the region. There are halal grocery stores & clothing boutiques also. So, alhumdulillah, we have the basics covered.
Salaam
