Hiijabs but no Beards??

Asalaam Alaikum
My Dear brothers in Islam
Lately We have seen Many Blogs & Forum posts About the wearing of the Hiijab
Advising  Our beloved Sisters that indeed this is Mandatory.
But let us not forget the Sunnah and OBLIGATION of the Muslim man regarding Dress & Appearance.
At A minimum the Muslim Man Should Wear the Kuffi (Skull Cap) and Most definately his Beard Such that Allah has Given him as as facial hair.

It is Hypocracy for any so called Muslim man to enforce the rule of Covering for women While he himself Clean Shaves his own face and puts on the corporate garb of the Kuffar and "Blends in" with American Society effectively hiding his Muslim Identity or  chooses to trim his facial hair down to a pathetic apology of a beard in the form of  thinly trimmed goatee styles.
Additionally  the Muslim man needs to Look like a Muslim here in the west
even more so than in Muslim Countries.
Why? How can i give Salaam to my Muslim brother on the street when I dont recognize him.
But more importantly the Muslim Female Traveling in the society of the Kuffar
needs to be able took look into the crowd and spot her Muslim brother instantly
so she knows who she can run to for help if she is being bothered or harassed by someone.
So l urge you My Brothers Dont  let American Fashion Prevent you from the Sunnah of our Prophet (PBUH) and his Righteous Companions
wear your beard and Kuffi's.

Anabran Abdul-Quarnain

( See below for opinions of many scholar on this manner)

Ruling
Growing the beard is wajib (mandatory) for all males who are capable of
doing so. As will be presented below, there is ample evidence for this in the
Sunnah, and it is the unanimous opinion of the ‘ulama’ of Islam.
Position of the Scholars
All the ‘ulama’ (scholars) of as-Salaf us-Salih (the Righteous early Muslims),
including the Four Imams, agree that shaving the beard is haram
(prohibited). They consider shaving it an impermissible mutilation, as has
been reported from Umar Bin Abdul Aziz- . They
considered the man who shaved his beard effeminate. Many of them would
not accept his testimony or allow him to lead the prayers.
THE HANAFIS
According to the Hanafis:
“It is prohibited for a man to cut his beard ... as for
cutting it shorter than a fist-length - as is done by
some people from the west and by the effeminate men
- no one permits this. And as for shaving it completely,
it is the doing of the Indian Jews and the Persian
Magians” .
Ibn-Abidayn said:
“It is prohibited for a man to cut his beard.” (Radd
ul-Muhtar )
THE MALIKIS
According to the Malikis:
“Shaving the beard is prohibited, as is cutting it if it
causes a (clear) mutilation. But if it becomes oversized,
and if cutting it would not appear as a mutilation, then
it may be cut; but that would be disliked and contrary
to that which is better.”
Al-`Adwi said:
“It has been reported from Malik that he hated shaving
anything under the jaws, until he said, ‘It is from the
doing of the Magians.’ And it is prohibited to remove
the hair of the beard.”
Ibn Abd al-Barr said:
“It is prohibited to shave the beard, and it is not done
except by effeminate men.”
THE SHAFI’IS
As for the Shafi’is, al-Imam ash-Shafi’i has expressed that it is prohibited to
shave the beard . Also, al-Athru’i said, “The correct position is that it
is prohibited to totally shave the beard without a (medical) problem with it.”
.
THE HANBALIS
The Hanbali's agree without exception that it is prohibited to shave the beard
.
Ibn Taymiyyah stated:
“It is prohibited to shave the beard.”

Mash'Allah!I totally agree with you! Muslims shouldn't look just like non-Muslims. I'd like to be able to give the Salaam to my brothers and sisters, but most of the time, because of how they dress, I don't know who they are.Jazak'Allahu'Khair!

Asalamo alaykum - Living in the US and wearing hijab i am often given salaams by brothers who i would NEVER HAVE GUESSED are Muslim because they have NO indications in their appearance that they are Muslim men...I wholeheartedly agree that it would be a great releif for we Muslimas who wear hijab to be able to pick out our Muslim brothers when in public and in need of assistance!  I must say the same thing about my sisters in Islam....Often times I am given salaams by women who by looking at them i would NEVER have known they were Muslimas....
